ObjectProDSP is a tool for DSP design and analysis.
ObjectProDSP has not been updated for some time. It will not
compile with current compilers. However the binary image was linked
statically and runs on current versions of Linux. You may need to
relink the kernel to support the older "a.out" executable file
format. Some operating systems, such as Redhat 9.0, have "a.out"
support as a module. This is not automatically loaded when
you attempt to execute an "a.out" binary. You must install it with
following command as root:
modprobe binfmt_aout
You either have to do this every
time you reboot or you can put it in a local init file such as
/etc/rc.d/rc.local.
Fedora 3 no longer has module support for "a.out" executables in the standard kernel. ObjectProDSP crashes when this kernel (2.6.9) is relinked with "a.out" support. However the problem goes away with the (2.6.10) kernel.
