Menus

The main menu appears at the top of the window. (On Apple OS X it appears at the very top of the screen). It is composed of sub menus that pop up when you left click on one of the labels in the main menu. In addition mdb has two pop up menus that occur when you right click on a playlist name or the field in a track.

Main menu File

The options under this menu are as follow.

• scan for media files --- The shortcut is Ctrl-S.
• new file to list --- The shortcut is Ctrl-N.
• clear inaccessible --- The shortcut is Ctrl-A.
• set root directory for playlist --- The shortcut is Ctrl-R.
• import playlist --- The shortcut is Ctrl-I.
• exit --- The shortcut is Alt-X.

Main menu Edit

The options under this menu are as follow.

• deselect all --- The shortcut is Ctrl-D.
• copy --- The shortcut is Ctrl-C.
• paste/move --- The shortcut is Ctrl-V.
• preferences --- The shortcut is Ctrl-P.

Main menu Help

The options under this menu are as follow.

• Help contents --- The shortcut is F1. Display online manual.
• About --- Display software version.

Popup menu tracks

The options under this menu are as follow.

• edit field --- This option is only avaiaible for editable fields.
• show full field
• copy selected tracks
• paste/move tracks --- This option is available after tracks have been copied.
• delete track(s)

Popup menu playlists

The options under this menu are as follow.

• save full list --- This option is available is the list is not empty.
• save search results --- This option is available if there is a non empty search result.
• copy tracks from selected
• paste/move tracks --- This option is available after tracks have been copied.
• rename --- This option is available for all playlists except the library.
• delete playlists --- This option is available for all playlists except the library.
