In Chapter
I said intuition is the key to developing the other dimensions
of the psyche and the failure to deal with the shadow side of
our intellectually skewed culture is a major contributor to the
tragedies of this century. When we do not consciously integrate
those elements of our nature they are still present. Instead
of recognizing them in ourselves we project
them onto others in
an exaggerated form. Jung's work is the best source for understanding
this but the bible puts it most succinctly.
And why beholdest thou the mote in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye.(Mathhew 7:2-3)[31]
